Scientific Plantation
We select sites using climate data, choose native & fruit-bearing species, and plant with precision — not just numbers. Every tree is geo-tagged with exact GPS coordinates from Day 1.
5-Year Maintenance
Our core differentiator. Watering, manuring, protection, and health checks — every 6 months for 5 years. Executed by trained Kudumbasree and local community workers.
Transparent Reporting
Donors and corporate partners get real dashboards. Girth measurements, survival rates, carbon offset calculations — logged and updated every six months. No greenwashing.
The 5-Year Plant Care Program
Planting a tree takes a day. Growing a tree takes years. OmyEarth commits to every tree for 5 full years — with a structured, funded, and monitored care cycle from Day 1.
Establish, Protect & Root
The most critical year. The sapling is freshly transplanted and highly vulnerable. Intensive watering, organic manuring, and physical protection are applied. Each tree is geo-tagged with GPS coordinates and baseline girth is recorded. Survival checks happen every 6 weeks.
Strengthen & Establish Root Systems
Root systems deepen and canopy starts forming. Watering frequency is reduced as the tree becomes self-sustaining, but manuring continues every 6 months. Girth is measured and updated in the donor dashboard. Field inspectors visit each site and log health data.
Measure, Certify & Hand Over
The tree is now largely self-sufficient. Final girth and canopy measurements are taken. Carbon offset is calculated per tree. Donors and corporate partners receive an official Impact Certificate. Where possible, trees are transitioned to community or land-owner care under a long-term protection agreement.
The Inspection & Data Cycle
Every tree in the OmyEarth network is inspected on a fixed bi-annual schedule. Girth circumference is measured, health is documented, and data is uploaded to the donor portal within 7 days of each visit. No tree goes unaccounted for — ever.
Cost per tree per year: ₹1,500 — covering all care, inspection, and reporting activities.

A maintained tree is a living system. It fights climate change on six fronts simultaneously — carbon is just the beginning.
Carbon Absorption
Through photosynthesis, every tree pulls CO₂ out of the atmosphere and locks it into wood, roots, and soil. A grove of 1,000 mature trees absorbs the equivalent of ~210 car trips from Kochi to Bangalore every year.
Heat Island Reduction
Urban and rural areas with tree cover are measurably cooler. Tree canopies block solar radiation and release moisture through transpiration — acting as natural air conditioners that reduce energy demand and protect communities from extreme heat events.
Water Cycle Restoration
Tree roots absorb rainfall and recharge groundwater tables. Their canopies slow rainfall impact, preventing soil erosion. Forested areas maintain year-round stream flow and dramatically reduce flood risk during Kerala's heavy monsoon seasons.
Biodiversity & Ecosystems
Native trees are not just trees — they are entire ecosystems. Birds, insects, fungi, and microorganisms all depend on them. OmyEarth prioritises native species that restore indigenous food webs and bring back wildlife that has disappeared from degraded land.
Soil Health & Fertility
Falling leaves create a natural mulch layer that feeds soil microbes, improves structure, and prevents erosion. Healthy soil stores carbon, grows food, and is the foundation of all agriculture. Degraded land becomes productive again within a few years of consistent planting.
Air Quality & Human Health
Trees filter dust, PM2.5, and harmful pollutants from the air through their leaves and bark. Communities near green cover report lower rates of respiratory illness. For India's rapidly urbanising towns, tree buffers are among the most cost-effective public health investments available.
